Kid-Friendly Football Charcuterie Board

  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 1 Board (approx. 12-15 footballs) 1x

Description

A fun, no-cook snack board designed for kids to build their own football-shaped snacks using pretzels, cheese, and fruit. This stress-free activity encourages creativity and fine motor skills without requiring heat or sharp knives.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 oz pretzel sticks
  • 8 oz mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 6 oz mini pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup red grapes, halved
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp red ketchup or marinara
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 cups Goldfish crackers
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry grapes thoroughly, then cut each grape in half lengthwise.
  2. Place a mini mozzarella ball on a plate or board.
  3. Press two pretzel sticks across the middle of the mozzarella to create ‘laces’. Use a tiny dot of cream cheese as adhesive if needed.
  4. Arrange halved grapes around the mozzarella to mimic red leather. Optionally wrap a thin slice of pepperoni around the mozzarella before adding pretzels.
  5. Place assembled footballs on the main board in a grid or scattered pattern.
  6. Fill empty spaces with cheddar cubes, Goldfish crackers, and chocolate chips to create color blocks.
  7. Place ramekins of cream cheese and ketchup around the edges of the board for dipping.
  8. Serve immediately with plastic forks or toothpicks.

Notes

Keep cheese cold to prevent mushiness. Use squeeze bottles for cream cheese to reduce mess. Do not assemble more than 2 hours before serving as pretzels will go stale. Ingredients can be prepped (cut fruit, portion cheese) up to 24 hours in advance.
