  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A quick and easy weeknight dinner featuring juicy steak bites and sweet shrimp seared in a rich garlic butter sauce. This one-pan meal is ready in 20 minutes and offers restaurant-quality flavor without the stress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails on (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup white wine (dry Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly cracked
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Olive oil, for searing

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes and shrimp dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
  2. Season the steak cubes with 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon olive oil. Let sit while prepping shrimp.
  3. Season the shrimp with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with 1 tablespoon of oil until shimmering.
  5. Sear the steak cubes in a single layer for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak from pan and set aside.
  6. Reduce heat to medium. Add shrimp to the same pan and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp and add to the plate with the steak.
  7. Reduce heat to low. Add butter to the pan. Once melted, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Add white wine to deglaze the pan and simmer for 1 minute to cook off alcohol.
  9. Return steak and shrimp to the pan. Toss to coat in the sauce.
  10. Add chopped parsley and stir gently to combine. Taste and adjust salt if needed.
  11. Serve immediately over rice, mashed potatoes, or with crusty bread.

Notes

Pat all meat dry before cooking to prevent steaming. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary. Watch the garlic closely as it burns easily. For a lighter version, use half butter and half olive oil. This recipe is naturally gluten-free.
