  • Author: Olivia
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A quick, homemade version of the viral shaken espresso featuring brown sugar, oat milk, and strong coffee, ready in just five minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup oat milk (barista blend recommended)
  • 12 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of cinnamon for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon caramel syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew espresso or strong coffee and let it cool for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar halfway with ice cubes.
  3. Pour in the cooled espresso, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and optional caramel syrup.
  4. Close the lid tightly and shake hard for 15-20 seconds until the mixture is frothy and the shaker feels cold.
  5. Strain the shaken espresso into a tall glass, catching any ice chunks.
  6. Gently pour the oat milk over the back of a spoon to create layers.
  7. Sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon and serve immediately.

Notes

Use cold coffee or cold brew concentrate to prevent the ice from melting too quickly. Shake vigorously for at least 20 seconds to create the signature foam. If using hot espresso, let it cool before shaking.
